Get VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND on XP host, Linux guest when attach adapter to host interface => fixed in SVN
Reported by: | Pat Knight | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | network/hostif | Version: | VirtualBox 2.1.2 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | Linux | Host type: | Windows |
Description
Booting the virtual guest machine fails and displays a dialog indicating a VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND error.
The host interface is called "Intel(R) 82566MM Gigabit Network Connection"
I have administrator privileges on XP, so VirtualBox should have all necessary access.

Replying to patknight and all seeing this problem:
I think this issue should be solved already. Please send me a mail at Mikhail dot Sennikovsky at sun dot com if you are willing to test the fix. I'll then send you a link to a new test version containing the fix.

I downloaded the fix release Mikhail offered (thanks, Mikhail) and it's working fine. If I compare the interface details in the guest OS with those in the host OS, they have the same DHCP server, DNS server etc and the allocated IP addresses are as I'd expect.
You can call this closed when 2.1.3 ships.
