Replying to ranpha:
Found the problem. It was neither windows of linux host systems. It was the proxy scan i did on my guest system.
What networking mode did you configure for the guest? NAT? Because host interface networking (which I would expect for a setup doing network scanning) shouldn't have limitations like this. It would be interesting to have a closer look at your testcase, because no matter what you do in the guest it shouldn't crash.

Found the problem. It was neither windows of linux host systems. It was the proxy scan i did on my guest system. This has to do with probing a lot of adress. I had 10.000 in my list and it crashed after doing some of them. However small list of > 1000 where no problem.
