Access to windows share impossible over nat

Reported by: bb84 Owned by:
Component: network/NAT Version: VirtualBox 2.1.2
Keywords: smb access Cc:
Guest type: Windows Host type: Linux

Description

Accessing a Windows share fails with a Windows Xp Sp3 Guest if auth is done via "ActiveDirectory". Normal smb shares with manual auth are possible. Trying to connect runs in timeout or fails authentication. DNS is working! If interface is set to host networking, everything is working fine. (worked in 2.1.0) Log shows absolutely nothing

Could you please attach the logs anyway, that will give us opportunity to recreate environment close to your one and easier reproduce problem you've mentioned.

Added Log, could reproduce the problem also on fresh install (guest and system). Problem exists under 32bit and 64bit Host

Just saw this error in log, perhaps it helps:

VBOXNP: NPGetUniversalName: NPGetConnection returned error 0x43

It seems that the problem occurs if guest entered a "domain". If guest isnt attached to a windows domain smb works with(manual auth)
