Description

Hello, for monitoring virtual machines running in production environments, it would be great to know the pid of a virtual machine througth the log or a file, created by VirtualBox.

All the daemons in Linux have a file in /var/run with just its pid number. In VirtualBox there could be, to avoid root permissions, a file in the Logs folder with the pid of the machine, so monitoring this process and running it if it is down would be easier for any monitoring software.

Thank you.

Interesting that you found the idea interesting... it's been implemented long time ago, with version 3.0.
