Installing Newsleecher freezes vbox

Description
When installing Newsleecher, either beta or release version inside a Windows 2000 guest, the guest will freeze during the last phase of the setup and needs to be powered down or reset.
Newleecher trial versions can be downloaded from http://www.newsleecher.com//?id=download
I think this is easy to reproduce. Perhaps someone can fix it?
I did not try any other guest or host OS. Host was Ubuntu 8.10 with 32 bit.
Enabling/disabling VT-x makes no difference.
