Description
I have been trying to install Voyage Linux ( http://linux.voyage.hk/) in a virtual machine from a live cd iso. The boot process gets as far as "Checking 'hlt' instruction... OK", and then I get the "VirtualBox has encountered a problem and needs to close." dialog.
I have Virtualbox running on XP Pro SP3, with an Ubuntu virtual machine working fine. I have used this Voyage Linux iso in Vmware Server with no trouble, but they don't support the nice shared folder ability like Virtualbox.
The error report contains a text file, which I will try to attach.
Thanks much for looking into this, and thanks very much for Virtualbox!
Kurt

I am encountering the very same problem. Windows XP Pro with all of the latest patches, VirtualBox 2.1.2, and Voyage 0.5.2 Live CD image.

The 0.5.2 image crashes here without VT-x and boots fine if VT-x/AMD-V is enabled.
