Description (last modified by )
Ubuntu 8.10 with an ATI Radeon graphics card with two monitors, using proprietary driver shipped with Ubuntu.
Whenever a graphics mode switch occurs (e.g. from Bios screen to text mode Windows startup status bar, or changing the desktop resolution in Windows), the second (right) monitor blackens for about two seconds and then reappears.
Further questions welcome. Thank you for working on VirtualBox!

Try if starting a VM manually with
VirtualBox -startvm VM_NAME -rmode image
makes any difference for you.

Cool! When starting from the command line, the flickering does not occur. Thanks a lot for the workaround!

Multi-monitor is now supported since VBox 3.2.x.
Please retry with 3.2.6.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
Note: To clarify, whenever a graphics mode switch in the *guest* system occurs, the right monitor on the *host* system flickers. Confirmed for XP and Vista guests on said Ubuntu Intrepid host.
