My usb is seen in Virtual Box. When i remove the usb receiver from the settings then i can use my keyboard in VB. The mouse i cannot use, it stays disable. When i activate the usb receiver then i cannot use my keyboard and mouse as wel in the host as in the guest. My host is UBUNTU and my guest is XP. See the logfile who says that there is a unknown keyboard.

What is the problem here exactly? The message in the log or do you try to capture your usb keyboard? (there's no point in doing that)

The message in the log is merely information for the developers. This should not cause any problems actually using the VM. The problem you are seeing is probably because you are trying to capture your USB keyboard in the guest, which as Sander said is a bad idea.

My problem is that i cannot enable the mouse in the guest. So i cannot use the mouse.Only when i activate the usb receiver. But then i cannot go back. I must then close the guest. I have trye an extra mouse and that works but it is then, which mouse is for the Host or the guest. I think when i have a seperat mouse and keybord it works. In any way thanks for your message. Cajo
