#22100 new defect

Mouse stops working on FULL SCREEN mode

Description

Hello

HOST: Debian 12 with KDE Plasma, latest packages. VirtualBox 7.0.18.

GUEST: Windows 10 64bit.

When switching to FULL SCREEN the mouse (mousepad or usb mouse) stops working, the pointer moves but the buttons are useless. Even if I go back to WINDOW mode the mouse will not work again until I shutdown (close the VM) and start again the virtual machine and AS LONG AS I DO NOT SWITCH TO FULL SCREEN. I had the same issue on VirtualBox 7.0.14 and could not be fixed, today I installed VirtualBox 7.0.18 but still this bug is not fixed. Someone suggested me in the forums to disable the Mini Toolbar and retry, this way the mouse works but then I have no toolbar.

Any idea of what is going on?

I can confirm this bug in version 7.0.19 (r163782). Not tested with newer versions yet.

The fix is to stop the machine, go into the settings of the machine and adjust the user interface (last tab in the left panel) by removing the ticks at Show Minibar (=disable the minibar). It should neither be enabled in fullscreen nor in any other display mode. I think it only affects Fullscreen but in my case I had to disable it entirely for the machine. Then the Fullscreen Mouse Integration will be working fine again.
