Description (last modified by )
It would be awesome if we could get an option such that it again remembers what we last selected (As it did in VBox 6.x). I understand that this might be so that people don't accidentally lose data by resetting to the latest Snapshot. But requiring to enable this once manually is a reasonable compromise IMO.
I know of this command: VBoxManage setextradata "NameOfVM" GUI/DiscardStateOnPowerOff 1
But in my case, I'd like to discard the state in 90%, but sometimes I need to keep it (e.g. after I have loaded a kernel module that causes a crash, and I now want to attach a kernel debugger (after a shut down of the VM)).
Additionally: Currently after setting "GUI/DiscardStateOnPowerOff" the UI does not reflect what is happening. After a Week or so I may have forgotten about this option (which I never had to use prior to VBox 7), and think "Ok this checkbox is unchecked, so my state will be kept".
