Seamless mode not activated upon startup on WinXP VM

Description
I have a WinXP VM. Up until v7.0.6, when i enabled Seamless mode and then shutdown the VM, the next time it was powered-on, it automatically entered Seamless mode after the login. Now it doesn't.
Furthermore, if i manually press the shortcut for Seamless mode, it enters but it does not adjust to the resolution it should, but to a smaller one (instead of 1920x1019, it is set to 1621x911 for some reason). If i resize the window vertically (or maximize it) and then i enter Seamless mode, it works fine.
