Bridge adaptor issues AND reinstall issues

Description
Hello, I am on a tight deadline for a project and chose VirtualBox to host a machine. When I set up the machine and added the bridge adapter to the same Internet that my computer is on, it would not connect. And acted as if I simply never picked anything even though I did, and double checked. I tried to uninstall and then reinstalled the program over six times to fix this issue and now suddenly I am getting an install error.

Maybe I don't understand your problem. But if all you need is that your virtual machine use the same Internet access as your host, you probably don't need any adapters at all, not even the bridged one. This is how Virtual Box works out of the box (pun indeed).
Just use NAT in this case.
