Mouse can't click/hover inside Virtualbox window.

Description
Using virtualbox-7.0 on debian 11 guest, at random times, mouse has no effect inside virtual machine which runs windows 10 (happens with windows 7 too).
I have to exit full screen with "host+F", click on the title bar to close virtualbox window. In the popup i need to use keyboard to select "save machine state" and "ok". I resume the machine and mouse works again for a random amount of time.
Mouse works in virtualbox titlebar but also doesn't work in chrome window and other windows.
I don't know how to reproduce this, but i am willing to solve this and to track the issue.
wasn't triggered by: host popup, high load in guest, guest running out of ram or other things. It might not be related to virtualbox since it also affects chrome.
The issue is still there in version 7.0.8 r 156879
