VBoxVGA driver cannot display

Host OS: Windows 10 Ent Guest OS: Windows XP Pro VirtualBox: V6.1.40, 6.1.44, 7.0.8 Guest Additions: Always use the same version with VirtualBox

I upgraded VirtualBox from V6.1.40 to V7.0.8, the guest OS runs OK, then I upgraded guest additions(v6.0.40 -> v7.0.8), the guest displays a black display. The guest system is running properly except display, so I can shutdown it by press Alt+F4, then Enter.

I tried to uninstall VirtualBox V7.0.8 and install VirtualBox V6.1.44(the newest version of 6.1 series ATM), the gust OS cannot display except in safe mode. I removed guest addition(v7.0.8) and re-installed it(v6.1.44), the guest OS displays black screen, too.

I downgraded the video card driver to version 6.0.40 after rebooting guest OS into safe mode, it works!

This is a known problem, solved in the VirtualBox test builds' Guest Additions 7.0.9r156960 and newer. See ticket #21600 for details.
