virtualbox 6.1.40 crashes on ubuntu 20.04.5

Fairly frequently, while running scripted operations using vboxmanage, I end up with a VM that aborts.

The kernel log looks like this:

I've confirmed that 6.1.38 also shows the same problem. The VM just crashed with the following kernel log on the host:

Hi cbf123,

Have you tried VirtualBox 6.1.42 or 7.0.6? If you still have the issue with the latest version, could you please try to get a core dump following the instructions from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Core_dump?
