VM crash with "Memory could not be read" error when usb-c monitors are disconnected

Description

Hi,

I am working on a laptop with USB-C port extender. There are two monitors connected via this hub. Host system is Windows 11. Guest system is Debian Bullseye with guest additions installed.

I usually wok with VM open in either maximized window or full screen mode on one of external monitors, sometimes on two of them.

When I unplug the usb-c port extender without moving VM windows to internal laptop dislay, the VM throws error that says something in the spirit of:

Instruction at 0x00007FF9F8D215FE referred to memory at address 0x0000029E2900F000. Memory could not be read.

The exact error message is attached to this ticket, but it is in polish unfortunatelly.

The problem was present in Virtualbox 6.something. I have upgraded to 7.0.4, but the problem perssts.

I happens almost every time I unplug the hub without moving the vm windows to main screen or minimizing them. It never happens if I have vm window only on internal screen.

I have VM set up with: RAM: 32GB CPU: 6 EFI: on Accelleration: Hyper-V Video memory: 128MB Screens: 2 GFX: VMSVGA Accelleration: 3D
