Better synchronisation between VboxManage CLI and GUI

Description
I'd like to use the GUI and CLI simultaneously. However, VMs created with the CLI sometimes appear as inaccessible in the GUI. And after using the GUI, some VMs appear as inaccessible in
vboxmanage list vms
A better synchronisation would certainly be helpful.
