This is not fixed. I have attempted to install VirtualBox-2.2.0-45846-OSX.dmp on OS X 10.4.11 without success - unfortunately the installer provides no feedback other than the installation was not successful and i should attempt a re-install - which fails.

Just checked it with a local Mac OS X 10.4.11 installation & it works as expected. Please have a look at the console utility (/Applications/Utilits/Console) & there the install.log. Contains this any anomalies or the reason for the abort of the installation? Maybe you can attach the parts from the vbox installer. Have you any previous versions of vbox installed? Can you try the !VirtualBox_uninstall.tool which is contained in the dmg of vbox & after that install vbox again?

My bad, the machine i was attempting to install was a powerpc. It might be useful for users if the messaging was a little more verbose than simply "Please try again". Thanks for your quick response though.
