Same issue with guests on Ubuntu (compiz[3341]: segfault at 7f71d91dd07c ip 00007f71e40129c0 sp 00007ffd5f2d96e0 error 4) and Mac OS Big Sur (The window server is gone, exiting). Without tasks with high cpu usage in all cases guest OSes working fine, but with high cpu usage window system randomly halted.

The problem has been occurred after upgrade host from Ubuntu 16.04 / VirtualBox 5.2.x to Ubuntu 20.04 / VirtualBox 6.2.18 Upgrade to VirtualBox 6.2.19 (142995), changing display controller (VBoxVGA/VBoxSVGA/VMSVGA/RamSize) and paravirtualization interface (Legacy/Minimal/HyperV/KVM) doesn't help. How we can fix this?

I seem to remember having this same problem but can't remember how I fixed it.

Some old notes of mine suggest I was running Solaris 11.4 SRU32 for a long while with no problems, so at some point after installing the GA template I must have been able to update, probably via ssh or console instead of GUI. Sorry, can't remember.

Oracle's SRU Readme says "The GNOME desktop has been updated in Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU27 from GNOME 3.24 to GNOME 3.34". Its possible updating to at least SRU27 might fix this.
