virtualbox manager does not work properly wit 4k monitors on Ubunto 20.04

Description
When installed on a Ubuntu 20.04, virtualbox 6.1.16 runs as empty gray window. The method to fix it is to change scaling in displays settings from 200% to 100% or run it using the "run_scaled" script. Also making the window smaller helps to an extent.
the same problem is related to running virtual machine window. With 200% scaling it has numerous graphical artifacts that prevent normal operation.
