#19968 awaitsfeedback defect
File transfers to / from guest corrupted
Reported by: | VicK | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | network | Version: | VirtualBox 6.1.14 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | Linux | Host type: | Windows |
Description
I have a Centos guest OS running on Win10 host. I am unable to reliably transfer files or perform a Yum update on the guest OS. With Yum update the checksums consistently fail - but always different values for the downloaded file. Mozilla FTP and WinSCP to the guest also fail. Makes no difference whether using bridged network or local host. Seems to occur on all VM's I have running. What can be causing this? Seems everything else runs ok.

I tried the Testbuild - however it lost my Host only network and failed to run my VM - both actions causing exceptions. I could not add a new Host only network - caused another exception. So I removed Hyper V and backtracked to stable 6.1.14 release. This certainly fixed the issue - and restored my host only network.
This is very likely an instance of:
This ticket has been fixed in all recent Testbuilds for both the development branch of VirtualBox and the the 6.1 branch of VirtualBox. The fix will also be part of the next maintenance release of VirtualBox 6.1.x.
Can you download a test build and confirm whether that fixes the issue for you?
A workaround until you can update VirtualBox is to disable Hyper-V on the host.
