Description
This crash happened on 6.1.8 and 6.1.10, it worked previously on the 6.0 series (last tested 6.0.18 or maybe 20?). Bootup is fine, login screen (ldm) comes up, after entering the username and password the login prompt disappears, and after a while the crash screen shows up. The latest additions are installed. Logs attached. Please let me know what I can do to debug. Thanks!

What is the display adapter type (VMSVGA vs. VBoxSVGA etc.)? If not VMSVGA could you please try with VMSVGA?

Update: just downgraded to 6.0.22 (question: why don't the extensionpacks downgrade automatically when you run an older version of Vbox??!? There should be a check for this, and at least a warning!) ... the system works fine. If 6.0.22 bootup logs will help, please let me know and I'll add them.

@gombara, the adapter was and is set to VBoxVGA, which works in 6.0.22.
VMSVGA in 6.0.22 works as well.
VMSVGA in 6.1.10 works, running it now.
Should I try VBoxSVGA or something else as well, or is this enough info for you to go on? Thanks for the quick help!

Hi. the crash is/was happening when some display adapter other than VMSVGA is used. It has been recently fixed. It will be included in the next release. If it works for you please do use VMSVGA which is the recommended adapter for Linux guests anyway.

Understood, thanks. Feel free to close the bug then, unless you want me to test with 6.1.12 when it's out before closing.
