Description

The Vivaldi browser gets broken when 3d acceleration is enabled with the graphics controller set to VMSVGA. Several users now experienced the issue while trying to run Vivaldi on Linux (ubuntu 18 in my case).

Some additional information: My host is win10 and my guest is OSGEOlive (ubuntu 18). From another Vivaldi user: Host win10, guest Ubuntu 19 or Debian 10.2. Here, Vivaldi does not launch at all and has to be started with "vivaldi --disable-gpu", on my setup, it launches but the entire VM freezes shortly after.

No, unfortunate not.

I can confirm: Vivaldi freezes completely on all Linux guests if VMSVGA and enabled 3D acceleration.

VirtualBox 6.1.2 r135662 | Host: Windows 10 Pro 1909 | guests: Debian 10, Mint 19, Ubuntu 18+19
