Description
When I have a directory - let us call it 'D1' - on the host, a folder containing some other directories D2-Dn, and also , and drag-and-drop D1 to the guest, then . . D1 gets copied but D2-n, and F1-n, do not. In short: directories get copied without their contents (!).
When the VM situation is inverted, in that the Linux system is the host and Windows the guest, then I do not have the problem.

I am afraid that I will not be doing this testing. For, I have spent a lot of time on VirtualBox bugs already. Also, I find that fiddling with the 'additions' tends to break things.

Can you please try with the latest test build for VirtualBox 6.1? You can get the latest test builds on the Testbuilds page.
Please note that also the Guest Additions of this test build need to be installed on the guest, followed by a guest reboot.
Let me know if this fixes the issue for you. Thank you!
