Oracle Linux 6 Not Showing Shared Folders

Reported by: DonC Owned by:
Component: guest additions Version: VirtualBox 6.0.14
Keywords: Cc:
Guest type: Linux Host type: Windows

Description

On my Oracle Linux 6 system (4.1.12-124.33.4.el6uek.x86_64) I can see the directories defined in shared Folders but the contents of the shared folders are not shown. The Desktop also does not have the icons for the Shared Folders. This started this version of VB and Linux Kernel release.

I do not know how to totally remove the guest additions and add back in but I clicked on the Devices|Insert Guest Additions CD Image menu and let it run. (Didn't have any errors displayed.)

I attached the machine log to this report.

Found some information in the /var/log/messages file that references the /var/log/dmesg on the error. I have clipped down the messages file and attached the dmesg file.
