Mac OS X: GUI is slow (nVIDIA)

Description

I have a MBP 2.4GHz and 4GB Ram with a nvidia card inside. That machine is what i would call really really fast. Apps start very fast and the GUI stuff gets the same.

The GUI from VB is sowhat of slow when i resize it. I can follow each single frame on redraw (more or less). It is the slowest app on my Mac and this only for a GUI....

I bought a new Mac-Mini recently. Mac OS X 10.5.6. VBox 3.0.10.

Seems fast.
