Replying to mcandre:

Can't reproduce, and AFAIK, no one else complained about that. We're talking about the VirtualBox Manager, right? What if you resize it? It won't remember the settings?

Please fix the default window dimensions for modern Retina displays

If you want to see the "defaults", then quit VirtualBox, make sure the VBoxSVC process has quit, and issue the following commands:

VBoxManage setextradata global "GUI/LastWindowPosition"
VBoxManage setextradata global "GUI/SplitterSizes"

and test more on macOS before publishing releases.

You know that you can be part of the testing, since this is an open-source project and users are expected to help with the releases, right? You can start today by using the latest Testbuilds. Just remember that feedback on those test builds should not be taking the form of a ticket, but it should be reported in the IRC at the #vbox-dev channel. More details on the test builds page.

BTW, it's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved in the forums, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is most probably not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".
