#18600 new defect

Audio input gets automatically enabled

Reported by: Damon Harris Owned by:

Description

I have a Windows 10 Guest for which I would like to disable audio input (not output), I have used the settings and the menu options to disable audio input several times but it always seems to get re-enabled automatically after closing and opening VirtualBox.

Host: Fedora 29 with VirtualBox 6.0.7 r130207 (test build) Guest: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134) with latest Guest Additions installed

Happy to provide more information :)

Would be good to get the affected VM config file (just the .vbox one is enough, disk images etc. are not needed), because that saves asking lots of questions and ideally lets us reproduce pretty quickly.

This smells like a bug which is either settings version dependent or related to the default attribute values (which are sometimes version dependent).

I have attached the vbox file which appears to be related to the guest VM in question, but there are two other files with the names Windows 10-1.15-linux.vbox and Windows 10.vbox-prev, hopefully I have attached the correct file...
