Keyboard not working in Virtual box while installing ubuntu 18.04LTS on Windows10pro on Microsoft surface

Installing Virutal box 6.0.4 was easily done, however when I set up the virtual machine with the USB multi touch tablet option (since the MSSurfasce laptop has a touch mouse pad and keyboard and a tablet modus) initially the mouse is captured, but once ubuntu wants me to enter which keyboard set up, I selected dutch (standard) and tried the keyboard by entering some letters, from that moment on neither mouse nor keyboard works anymore in the ubuntu guest. Tried to use USB tablet option or the PS2/mouse option, still the same: it freezes once any keyboard key is pressed. plz help

This is not what the bug tracker is usually for, this is what the ​VirtualBox forums are for. It's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the ​VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved in the forums, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is most probably not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".

So, if you can, please open a new thread in the ​VirtualBox on Windows Hosts section of the forums. Please be sure to mention that you came from the bug tracker and include the ticket number.
