Hello,
Could you please clarify few details a bit:
Is this a new issue? Was it the case for you with VBox 6.0.2?
Is this VBox package installation or a self-built executable?
What's your Linux distribution?
Thanks in advance!

And please attach a log file from the virtual machine.

I have the sameproblem on lnux host (Ubuntu 16.04), that I can't start a VM anymore. After executing sudo /sbin/vboxconfig I get the message:

boxdrv.sh: Stopping VirtualBox services. vboxdrv.sh: Starting VirtualBox services. vboxdrv.sh: Building VirtualBox kernel modules. vboxdrv.sh: failed: Look at /var/log/vbox-setup.log to find out what went wrong.

There were problems setting up VirtualBox. To re-start the set-up process, run

/sbin/vboxconfig

as root.

-> log file is attached.

Do you have any log files for virtual machines which you created? And is this a version of VirtualBox which you got from Oracle, or from your distribution?

This VirtualBox Version is from Oracle. I attached the log file.

Sorry the log I attached is not helpful. Obviously there is no log created from the machine because it can't be started.

This should be my Problem on Ubuntu 16.04. https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/18315
