| 1 | 1 | I believe I have the same problem with Oracle Linux 7.6 host and Windows 7 guest with VirtualBox 6.0.10. Certain sounds will cause a hang. I have not tried using an application to play sounds, but certain system sounds hang the system except the mouse is still repsonsive (it follows movement but clicking on anything does nothing). When the guest boots, the startup sound plays without issue. When I open a Cygwin xterm and cause it to ring the bell, the system hangs every time. When I look in the host, top shows one CPU pegged for the VM and I have to kill the process to recover. If I mute sounds in the guest, it still hangs. If I disable sound in the VM settings, the guest won't hang. I just upgraded from 5.2 yesterday where the issue does not occur, so I started having this issue almost immediately. |
