Virtual box causes the PC to restart many times

Description
Since one year ago I observed that my PC, when left in stand-by, restarted continuously at night after 2.00 p.m.. After many attempts I verified that whenever VirtualBox was open, this continuous restart happened. When it was closed, it did not.
Recently, I upgraded to VB 6.0 and tried again: same result.
I've observed this behaviour n two different PCs, both using up-to-date Windows 10 64 bit.

That's probably Windows 10 waking up the PC and doing it's thing (installing updates, running maintenance activities). There's a Task Scheduler job that wakes up the PC. It may wake up the PC even if you set it not to, in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Security and Maintenance\Automatic Maintenance. Windows 10 will also reboot the PC to finish installing the updates, if the time is outside of working hours interval. VirtualBox has nothing to do with your problem. Also check for BSOD events in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Security and Maintenance\Reliability Monitor. Good luck!
