a) dont appreciate your attitude ! b) it may be a bug and it may not - regardless, if a user chooses to post a problem report, (and take the time and energy) then a developer can look at it. c) chkdsk returned no errors, vdi's can be copied directly with no issues. chkdsk returned no errors in vm's.

Replying to ArtZ:
a) dont appreciate your attitude !''
Attitude? What attitude? Which part of my post had an "attitude"? The fact that I told you to run this by your fellow users first, before involving the developers? I think that you might need to adjust your attitude sensors/sensitivity...
if a user chooses to post a problem report, (and take the time and energy)
It may help a user (and everyone else) if you offer them an advice or two. And you're not the only one taking the time and energy, but if you do, it should be spent wisely.
then a developer can look at it.
A developer taking a look at what exactly? A simple error? With no context? The least you have to do is to provide a reproducible scenario of how you ended up like that. You don't even mention what "N:\
" is, what your "shrink
" is, or what happened between the time that it was working and the time it failed. You need something reproducible, not a one-off random act, that can be due to a gazillion things...

The same attitude that many users have commented on in the past, based on previous posts by you 'socratis'. I've been looking for a reason to switch to VMware and have put it off many times. Your the last straw at this point. You've single handedly turned me off of virtualbox! Goodbye and good riddance!

Sometimes, once every while, you actually need to have a whacky, odd review, otherwise at 98% approval rate, somebody may accuse me of "fixing" my ratings...
Happy New Year and travel safe!

You get several "
VERR_IO_CRC
" errors. That might indicate a corrupted file on your host...BTW, it's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved over there, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is most probably not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".
