Desktop shortcuts not working in 6.0

Description
After to upgrading to virtualbox 6.0 desktop shortcuts now give an error. I tried deleting and recreating the shortcut to no avail. Host os is windows 10 1803.
the text of the error reads:
--startvm is an option for the VirtualBox VM runner (VirtualBoxVM) application, not the VirtualBox Manager.
