Screen resolution changing (issued by Guest OS) doesn't work , when VirtualBox window is minimized.

Settings:
Host: WinXP SP2
Guest: WinXP SP2 (with Guest addtions installed)
Issue:
Screen resolution changing (issued by Guest OS) doesn't work , when VirtualBox window is minimized.
Steps to re-create:
- Start guest O/S with big resolution (say 976x625).
- Right click desktop -> properties -> settings.
- Set resolution to 800x600 -> OK.
- Minimize VirtualBox window during the count down.
- Wait for half minute. It is supposed that resolution will get back 976x625 after the count down is done, but the real situation is not.
Things to note:
It only happens when VirtualBox window is minimized.
Any idea ?
