Audio ICH AC97 Host Win7 x64 troubles 5.2.x and 6.x BETA

Guest - Windows 7 SP1 x64 and Windows XP SP2 x64 - with ICH AC97 audio will not work in/with Host Windows 7 SP1 x64.
The same troubles in 5.2.x and 6.x Beta.
But no troubles with Host Windows XP SP2 x64. Have a look in the attached LOG at line 1429:
DSound: Creating capture buffer failed with E_FAIL

PS: VirtualBox 6.x Beta do not work well under Windows XP SP2 64-bit. Machines won't start.

Windows XP is not a supported host, and has not been a supported host since 5.0.0 came out. So, 6.0.x, that's really pushing it. It's a miracle that 5.x.x works...

Right, Windows XP is not supported as a host anymore since quite a while.

Hallo pentagonik, will do the 'setextradata' when I realy wakes up.
Is this the line I will do?
VBoxManage setextradata <Name-of-VM> "VBoxInternal2/Audio/Debug/Enabled" "true"

Now I've done new machines and bring up the 'setextradata' for Windows 7 SP1 Pro x64 and Windows XP SP2 Pro x64.

° There are no ICH AC97 driver available for Windows 7 but the machine is working.
° With Intel HD Audio (standard) the machine freeze on logon.
°By the way, 3D on Windows 7 looks like no good idea. I think ... slows down the machine.

Windows XP SP2 x64 do not found Intel HD Audio driver and ICH AC97 freeze the machine start.
Without audio it looks like well.
