  1. It's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums, a lot more eyes there. More than 95% of the issues are resolved over there, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is most probably not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".
  1. This is the error that you're getting:
    00:00:40.712107 !! VCPU0: Guru Meditation -2403 (VERR_TRPM_DONT_PANIC)
    00:00:04.812034 Full Name: "Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU B980 @ 2.40GHz"

  1. Unfortunately, your Intel Pentium B980 does not support VT-x. So, you can't run this VM, as is, right now. Your best bet would be to try something from the 4.3.x series, or the 5.0.x series, or the 5.1.x series. The higher the VirtualBox version, the more dependent it is on the existence of VT-x, as the "raw mode" (mentioned above) tends to get phased out.
  1. However, not all hope is lost! ;)
As mentioned in ticket #18008, the underlying cause of the raw-mode not working quite as it should has been addressed,

and it should show up in a test build / release before long.

  1. Did you also post a message in the forums? I seem to recall a similar message, but I can't find it easily, maybe it wasn't you after all?
Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
