  • Can you access the VM with another client? Not the iOS one?
  • Can you access any other RDP server with the iOS client?

BTW, it's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums. More than 95% of the issues are resolved over there, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of.

If accessing a headless VB the keyboard input of control characters (Enter, Tab, etc.) is accepted, the input of other characters (e.g. all letters for password entry) are ignored.

Keyboard settings: ps2

You had me downloading the Microsoft iOS RDP client from the Apple store, just to test it! I didn't even know that such an app was available. I can't see me using it in real life (iPhone 4s, too small), but hey... ;)

And... it fails. As "war" said, <Enter> and <Tab> are accepted, but any other characters (password or not) are ignored. I tested it with a FreeDOS, a Win7-32 and a Win10-64 guests. Keyboard setting (PS/2 or USB) doesn't seem to have any effect.

I tested it with versions 5.0.40, 5.1.38, 5.2.26 and 6.0.5 r128870. It seems it never worked to begin with...
