Guest Additions contain old DirectX9 DLLs

Hello,
when installing the Guest Additions, the following files are replaced d3d8.dll and d3d9.dll. Unfortunately this are old DLL versions (it should be at least 5.03.2600.5512), the Oracle Version is 5.02.0006.20293. So DxDiag shows an error with those two files. Furthermore, it seems that this error is also causing sound issues with iTunes and VirtualDj 8, as there is a crackling in the sound. Both are using DirectX.
Can you please fix this in the next version of the GuestAdditions?

This is not "fixed" as you imply. You should have a searchable PDF included with your installation (Help » Contents). Take advantage of that fact, and use it to search the PDF for the terms that interest you. There is a specific chapter about DirectX in there...
It's usually better and faster, if issues get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums (https://forums.virtualbox.org/). More than 95% of the issues are resolved over there, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of.
For example, yours is not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".
PS. The audio issues have absolutely nothing to do with DirectX. There should be plenty of results about this, but the search engine you're using now, does not seem to return any results for some reason. Consider changing your favorite internet search engine.
