Self titled. Pre-existing VMs are Kali and Ubuntu 16.04. Attaching crash log.

It's usually better and faster, if issues like this one get first addressed in the VirtualBox forums. More than 95% of the issues are resolved over there, which keeps the developers focusing on the bug fixes and enhancements, and there is no need for another ticket to keep track of. For example, yours is most probably not a bug and someone from the developers has to deal with it and close it as "Invalid".

So, if you can, please open a new thread in the VirtualBox on Mac OS X Hosts section of the forums. Please be sure to mention that you came from the bug tracker and include the ticket number.

And since you're going to be asked, please provide the output of the command:

kextstat | grep -v com.apple

But, please do it in the forums...

Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce this VBox build on HighSierra from top of the trunk. Is this happening as VM starts, or during fiddling some menu items (or dock menu)? Some context may help here.

You won't be able to, unless you have the OP's computer and setup. Which is what I was trying to find out... ;)
