Description

When I attempt to create a new VM machine the manager crashes. Virtual box has been installed in WInd 7 Prof 32 bit. Cannot provide log file as it can't create the VM machine first time.. I have reinstalled virtual box a few times and makes no difference.

Hi Porsha,

I've had a similar issue, when I try to create a new Virtual Machine or duplicate an existing one, Virtual Box Manager crashes straight away. Re-installed, no difference - even tried older versions 5.2.2 etc, no difference.

Then switched to my laptop (which hadn't received most recent Microsoft updates for Win7) and virtual box manager is creating new VM's fine.

I highly suspect Mircrosoft has distributed an update that has broken things.... again.

Not sure exactly which ones caused the issue - if anyone can tell so I can restore / skip the bad update to get Virtual Box running again !
