I reported this during the beta program for 5.2.0, and got no response...

I have same issue today on Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.4. Upgraded to 5.2.0 from 5.1.30 and when installing guest additions I get the same error. Uninstall and Re-Install of Guest Additions didn't help.

I see the same issue with a Lubuntu 17.10 VM, so it's not limited to Red Hat-derived distributions.

+1 I have this issue on all guests centos and ubuntu. I'll assume RHEL
