Windows 10 Pro Host/Win7Pro Guest Mouse/Cursor Issue

I have recently replaced my Host System with a Surfacebook running Win 10 Pro with I7 duo core with 16 gig ram and 1TB SSD. VB is version 5.1.26. Guests are windows 7 Pro and Win 10 Pro. Guest in full screen mode. USB mouse and built in Mouse Pad are being used.

VB works however; when in the guest opening Notepad++ and any other apps with text boxes the mouse cursor disappears, I need to change the Input mouse setting to see the cursor. This is annoying since I've uninstalled VB extensions and reinstalled and it requires the Host hot key to exit the VM Guest.

This only occurs when guest is used on secondary monitors. When on the SurfaceBook main screen no issue. External monitor(s) are attached via the Docking station, and I've tested with the built Display port and had same results there as well.

But after many tries and testing I found if I increase the Guest screen Fonts to 150% the problem no longer exists. This is not really best solution.

I've been having this same problem for months on my Dell laptop with Windows 10 host and multiple Windows 7 and 10 guests.

The only solution I've found is to change the mouse pointer for the Text Select pointer in the guest. Then the cursor shows up, but is sized incorrectly (small). If I also Enable Pointer Shadow with the modified cursor, everything works as expected.

I have to re-assign the pointer every time, as the issue recurs every time the VM is restarted.

What graphics hardware and drivers do you have on your host?

I am having a very similar issue. Windows 10 host, Windows 10 VM. ANY text box or text application the cursor will disappear. It has happened on several versions now.

Dell Precision 5510 Windows 10.0.16299 N/A Build 16299 VBox 5.2.8 r121009 (Qt5.6.2) same version of extensions.

Requesting for urgent fix. it's very difficult to work specially when you are working in a server.

I am having a very similar issue. Windows 10 host, Windows 7 32 bit VM. ANY text box or text application the cursor will disappear and it becomes a small dot. It's really difficult to find that anywhere in the text.

My Laptop is ASUS UX430UQ, Windows 10 64 bit (Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17134.81]) and the VM is Windows 7 32 bit (Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600])

VirtualBox Version 5.2.12 r122591 (Qt5.6.2)
