No sound on Linux host (ALSA) for Windows XP guest with new VirtualBox v5.1.20

Description

Sound worked fine with v5.1.18, but now the driver fails to initialize with v5.1.20 on my Linux system, with ALSA as the sound backend, when hosting a Windows XP session.

I agree. Please continue the discussion in #16667 and provide the information which are requested there.

I'm having a similar issue. I do not have sound on any guest OS when having Linux/ALSA host.
