Description
I'm using debian unstable.
After upgrading to 2.6.25 kernel and Phenom 9550, I cannot start linux guests anymore. VM and bootloader starts ok, but guests stop working after writing "Ok, booting a kernel" or "Starting up"
VB OSE 1.6 and SVN (1.6.53). Host: 2.6.25-amd64. Guests: 2.6.22-i386 (Ubunta 7.04 and Debian Testing). Custom kernels 2.6-24 guest kernel wrote "SMP motherboard not found" and halted too.
FreeBSD guest works, btw.

That's a bug in the Linux kernel. Enable the IO-APIC in VirtualBox to work around it.

I can confirm the same behavior (guest freezes after uncompressing kernel and CPU goes to 100%). Gentoo host running 2.6.25-gentoo-r3 amd64 platform. Guest: CentOS-4.6-i386
