Update: only does it if you go to add Hard Disk via Right Click on the controller. Works if you use the icons. So back to minor problem :)

Same GUI crash has been there for years and still happens in 6.0.14.
To reproduce, it is not even necessary to do a right click nor is it necessary to start with no controllers or to add a hard disk.
It is independent of guest type (for me, it crashes with a Linux guest).
Easiest to reproduce:
Open the Storage settings page.
Left Click on a controller.
(The "Add new storage attachment" button appears below the "Storage devices" box.)
Left click the "Add new storage attachment" button _below_ the "Storage devices" box.
Click "Add optical drive" (or "Add hard disk" - same behavior).
Wait for one or two seconds: Appcrash happens.
There is no crash if the "Adds hard disk" button to the right of the controller icon and name is used, so it is still not a major problem, but it seems easy to fix.

This is not reproducible here, can you please provide crash dump for further investigation? See here for instructions on how to do that.
Update: does that for SATA controller too, so I think it's a major problem.
