Windows 10 - Black Screen After Logic

Hello,
I have been able to reproduce this bug 3 times over the last few days. Essentially I would install VirtualBox. I would try to launch it, and it would not. I would restart my computer. It would take a very long time to reach the login screen. Once logged in, it would be only a black screen with cursor. CTRL +ALT+DEL will bring up the menu, but Task Manager only leads back to the black screen. Trying to shut down is blocked by an application, but Windows does not have a name for it, nor does it have an icon. Therefore I had to force shutdown.
Safe Mode opens, but trying to interact with anything crashes File Explorer. I have launched Windows PE and recovered from backup. However this problem occurs every time I install VirtualBox. Unfortunately this means I can't use it.
Hardware: 32 GB of DDR4 i5 6600k GTX 1070 ASUS Z170-A
I was thinking maybe there is some issue with compatibility of the display drivers that VB installs?
