Description
If I try to save a Fedora 24 session ( kernel 4.3.6-300) on my Macbook Pro. The status starts off as 'Saving' but changes to 'Aborted'
The 'Aborted' session, of course, cannot be restarted. However if the Fedora Session is shutdown then the image can be rebooted.
In addition, when the Fedora image reboots, a black screen appears and it is necessary to click on the screen to see the desktop.
Reverting back to kernel 4.5.7-200 fixes the problem.

Sigh, the corruption has extended to kernel 4.5.7-200. Attempting to save an instance of Fedora 24 yields an aborted state.
If I power off or send the shutdown signal then the instance can be restarted.
I have removed via the uninstall tool and re-installed 5.0.24 and the problem persists.

We need a core dump to investigate. If you can provide one, feel free to contact me via private email at frank _dot_ mehnert _at_ oracle _dot_ com. Unfortauntely I cannot provide you a server for uploading the core dump.

Turning off 3d acceleration seems to have fixed all of my problems. I guess this problem can be put to rest ( but it is not clear to me why 3d-acceleration causes the saving of a running instance to be aborted ).

I can confirm same issue for me. Looks like turning off 3d acceleration might have fixed it.
