Auto updater for system without a repository

Description
An auto update system for VirtualBox would be awesome. Maybe using the integrated downloader (that for now seems quite pointless) as VMWare does, at least in Windows and OS X as there is no repository system and users always has to download and update manually. At least download the new version and launch the installer...
