Description

I am running on a Windows 10 Host. Guest is Ubuntu 14.04 LST. I Have a Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000 webcam connected to USB 2.0

I tried to add it via settings. VB recognized the HW and I added it.

However when searching for the device with lsusb and dmesg it was nowhere to be found.

Here is what I expected to find: http://www.linux-hardware-guide.com/2013-05-18-microsoft-lifecam-hd-5000-hd-webcam

Better use the webcam passthrough. For doing this you must remove the USB filter for the webcam and while the VM is running, go to Devices / Webcams.
